BruCON is as a non-profit event by volunteers. In 2008 a group of security enthusiasts decided that it was time for Belgium to have its own security and hacker conference in order to discuss and present research on computer security and related subject matters. Brucon unites people who share the same passion and support the Belgian (research) communities, with BruCON as a yearly highlight.

Toreon has always been closely involved with BruCON since its launch. Not only are we the main sponsor and do we offer lectures and workshops, but several of our employees volunteer before and during the conference.
